Versatility, Visual Sensitivity, & Design Sensibility
We offer studio courses in a wide variety of media areas, however, our curriculum is designed so that art majors must take courses across these areas rather than specialize in a concentration.
We believe that contemporary artists need to be educated from a pluralist, interdisciplinary perspective so that they may make art that is visually dynamic, personally meaningful, technically sound, and grounded in a contextualized awareness of how art fits into contemporary culture.
In addition to the media areas listed below, art majors also take a series of foundations and advanced courses.
